SPAIN RANKS AMONG THE MOST PRIVILEGED COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD FOR RETIREMENT.

« Discovering the Perfect Retirement: Spain as the Choice Destination ». According to the annual « Global Retirement Index » compiled by the International Living platform, Spain stands as one of the world’s most cherished gems for retirement in the year 2023. This meticulous study encompassed 16 nations, evaluating a range of essential aspects for seniors, including affordable housing costs, lifestyle, residency viability, climate, and the quality of medical services.

Spain, dignifiedly holding the sixth position, attracts retirees and pensioners with its warm climate, rooted culture, and genuinely tranquil way of life. Furthermore, it stands out for not being an overly expensive destination, allowing a retired couple to comfortably live with around 3,000 euros per month. It’s worth mentioning that while food and service prices tend to be higher in areas near Madrid or Barcelona, the enchantment of the experience endures.

On the other hand, Portugal emerges as the crown jewel for those yearning for full retirement. It excels in refined gastronomy, safety, quality of life, the hospitality of its people, and a robust healthcare system, both public and private. It’s estimated that a retired couple can enjoy a comfortable life with around 2,500 euros per month, and even less in peaceful interior regions.

Alongside Spain and Portugal, the cream of the crop for top-quality retirement destinations includes Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Greece, France, Italy, and Thailand.
